The Georgetown Medical Centre Inc., formerly Prasad Hospital, will be offering free HIV, blood pressure and sugar count testings as nurses at that hospital celebrate Nurses Week 2008.
The free blood pressure and sugar count tests will be conduced today and tomorrow, while the HIV tests and counselling will be done on May 17.
Under the theme, ‘Delivering Quality, Serving Communities: Nurses leading primary health care,” the nurses will have an entire week of activities. Yesterday, the week of activities started with an Appreciation Ceremony at the hospital.
This is the first year that this particular hospital is participating in International Nurses Day.
At yesterday’s ceremony, certificates and tokens of appreciation were given to the nurses at that institution.
