Banks DIH Limited is on board in a major way as preparations continue for the Four Horsemen Promotion Emancipation one day horserace meet.
With race day drawing nearer most of the top stables in Guyana are fine tuning their charges for the event which is slated for Tuesday 1st August at the Port Mourant (Big Yard) Turf Club, Corentyne, Berbice.
The feature event will see the return of the much vaunted Storm Bird to the track as it seeks to regain its dominance. However, a formidable lineup has been entered in the event for animals classified E3 and non-winners for 2016 and 2017. It also caters for animals’ classified F and G that has not earned over $500,000 for 2017 over 1300M. Horses such as Media Day, Climate Change, Bridgestone Corner, Because I Say So and Midnight Blues have already indicated their interest in challenging for the coveted first prize of $350,000 and trophy.
So far 35 horses have been entered for what is expected to be an exciting day of racing in the seven race meet. A whopping $5M in cash, trophies and other memorabilia are at stake and an action packed day of racing is anticipated.
The other events will see the 3 years old Guyana Bred animals galloping over 1300 meters for a winning take of $300,000 and trophy.
The animals classified H3 and lower over 1200M running for a first prize of $300,000 and trophy.
The 2 yrs old Guyana bred animals will be racing over 900M for a $250,000 reward and trophy.
The race for I3 & lower animals will be a 1200M affair for a wining prize of $200,000 and trophy.
The J3 and lower animals and those 4 years and older and K class will be racing over 1100M for a winning prize of $150,000.
The L class non earners of $150,000 in 2017 will be racing for a winning take of $120,000 and trophy over 1200M.

Poonai, Fazal Habibulla of Hablaw Meat Center and Rising Sun Cattle Ranch, Assuria Insurance Incorporated, Sankar Auto Works –Valvoline, Fix It Hardware and Bothers Incorporated among others.
The top jockey along with the runner up, the top stable and champion trainer will all be presented with trophies and other incentives compliments of the organisers.
