The Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) will be hosting a number of Cricket West Indies /UNICEF Child Protection Courses across the country beginning today at the GCB boardroom.
The Child Protection Courses are intended to target individuals who interact with children on a regular basis, such as cricket coaches, senior players and teachers who act as coaches and will commence at 09:00hrs.
Today’s programme will involve current national coaches, assistant coaches/managers, and Cricket Guyana Inc. Contracted and Academy players.
Child Protection courses will also be conducted in Berbice on 10th July, West Demerara on 11th July, GCB’s board room on 12th July, Upper Demerara on 13th July and Essequibo on 14th July.
The Child Protection and First Aid courses are required modules of the CWI Coaching Certification and both have a validity of three years.
