Suriname and Trinidad and Tobago recorded victories when the Guyoil/Tradewind Tankers international club volleyball tournament continued on Saturday at the National Gymnasium.
In the female category, Yelyco of Suriname overcame Guyana Defence Force (GDF) in three straight sets 25-5, 25-8, 25-17 in their opening encounter on Friday before trouncing the said opponents 25-11, 25- 16, 25-5 on Saturday.
In the male segment Yelyco got the better of Demerara Volleyball Association 26-24, 26-24, 16-25, 29-27, while Trinidad and Tobago beat Berbice Volleyball Association 25-17, 18-25, 25-21.
Demerara VA thumped Berbice VA 23-25, 25-19, 26-24, 25-22 in their match up, while Yelyco got pass Trinidad and Tobago 25-23, 25-16, 22-25, 29-27.
