Police and CJIAC officials are investigating the death of an off duty employee, whose body was found in a reservoir behind the airport at around 13.30 hrs yesterday.
A police release stated that Chris Jacob, 26, of Hauraruni Village, Linden Soesdyke Highway, was discovered “apparently drowned” in the reservoir after reportedly being involved in an altercation at 23.00hrs on Saturday in the Works Maintenance area.
“Mr. Jacob’s body was discovered at 13:30hrs today 23 November after repeated efforts to locate him last evening. He was identified and the body was removed under supervision of the Police,” the release added.
“His relatives have been contacted and information is being gathered by the authorities.”
Reports reveal that the man had been working in the maintenance department at CJIA for several years and before he was discovered dead there was a party in that division.
