Investigators are probing the circumstances surrounding the death of a 47-year-old farmer
whose body was discovered in a canal at Beehive Backdam on the East Coast of Demerara (ECD).
The body of Huburn Alley, a father of eight from Beehive was discovered around 16:30 hrs yesterday by one of his colleagues who had gone to the location to check on him.
Reports are that Alley had left his home to go into the backdam with another farmer when he met his death. Investigators were told that the now dead man may have suffered a heart attack and fallen into the canal and
drowned.
A brother of the dead man, Junior Alley said that he was doing some work on his farm at his Beehive home when he was informed that his brother had passed away and upon checking, his worst fear was confirmed.
Investigations are ongoing.
