Dear Editor,
I have been seeing many letters to the press written by Peter Persaud and always supporting everything that the PPP does. Recently, he has been targeting Janette Bulkan and John Palmer.
Is this the same Peter Persaud who was put up as the Presidential Candidate for the United Force party at the last general elections? Is he still the leader of that Party? Or was he just placed there to complete the demise of a decent political party founded by a great man, Mr. Peter D’Aguiar? Mr. Nadir commenced the close out operation and then they put Peter Persaud to finish it up.
So, it is now correct to say that Peter Persaud never supported the UF but took the position to ensure that people did not vote for the party. If he can only muster two members for his organisation – The Amerindian Action Movement of Guyana (TAAMOG) could he pull voters for National Elections?
I am sorry that he did not get the position that he was promised when the PPP set him up so he now has to write for his supper. However, it is a job that he does very well. Anyone wishing to get a paint over just call Peter to write a letter. Only thing is, he turns up at your door when the letter appears in the press. Ask a certain Timber company.
