Compliments of Carib and Buddy’s Pool Hall, the best Pool players in Guyana will be matching sticks on Sunday in the King of the 8 Ball competition which has at stake over $500,000 in cash and other prizes in what is anticipated to be one of the biggest competitions so far this year.
Game time is set at 15:00hrs with registration ($2,000 per player) commencing at 12:00hrs. The King of the 8 Ball competition will collect $150,000 (cash), trophy and one year’s supply of Carib Beer.
Second place attracts a cash prize of $100,000 trophy and six (6) month’s supply of Carib Beer; 3rd place is worth $50,000 and 3 months supply of Carib Beer, while 4th place is valued at $25,000 and 3 months supply of Carib Beer. The organisers have promised that the atmosphere on Sunday will be exciting and players are urged to come out in their numbers to challenge for the top prize and bragging rights for the next year.
