The Guyana Amateur Swimming Association (GASA) has named two swimmers and one official that will represent this nation at the Pan American Games set for Guadalajara, Mexico from October 14 – 30, 2011.
The experienced duo of Niall Roberts and Britany van Lange will fly the Golden Arrowhead in Mexico.
Roberts will compete in the 50m Freestyle, 100m Freestyle and 100m Butterfly while van Lange will participate in the 100m Freestyle, 200m Freestyle, 400m Freestyle.
The swimmers will be accompanied by experienced Coach Stephanie Fraser.
According to a GASA release, while the swimmers have expressed concern over the effect of altitude on their performances, they are looking forward to doing their best for themselves and Guyana.
This same trio along with Jessica Stephenson had represented Guyana at the 14th FINA World Championships held in Shanghai from July 16 – 31.
