Gemma Williams retains Secretarial post
Cheryl Thompson was returned as President of the Continental Cycle Club (CCC) when their Annual General Meeting was held on Saturday February 12, at their headquarters, 105 Duncan Street, Bel Air Park.
Secretary, Gemma Williams also retained her post as Secretary. Geron Williams was elected Club Captain one with fellow cyclist Enzo Matthews serving as Club Captain 2. Leading junior rider Paul De Nobrega is the Deputy Club Captain.
The other members of the Executive are: Neil Fraser (First Vice President), Wayne DeAbreu (Second Vice President), Desmond Van Cooten (Third Vice President), Theodore Demonick (Treasurer), Aubrey Gravesande (Assistant Secretary/Treasurer), Cheryl Matthews-Jones (Organising Secretary). The Committee Members are Raymond Perez, Debbie Perez and Joseph Perreira. De Abreu will also serve as Team Coach and Manager.
A release from the Club states that it is harnessing a team of young riders and the club will be working with them to assiduously improve their performance and attitude on and off their bikes.
Also on the agenda of the club is the hosting of two workshops on “Team work and Attitude” with the objective being to maintain discipline in the sport and assist cyclists with their self-development.
