Dear Editor,
It started with attacks on the Government and its agencies. Now the venom of Freddie Kissoon’s pen is directed to the entire Parliamentary Opposition, as well as every man woman and child who do not conform to Freddie’s sense of right, wrong, good or bad.
Freddie’s delusions of grandeur designate him, in his mind, as the foremost political analyst this side of the Atlantic, with unparalleled skills in Guyana’s political history and evolution.
The Government must be bad because Freddie says so. The opposition must be bad because Freddie says so. The sky must be red because Freddie says so. Never mind independent logical deduction, if Freddie says it is so, it is so, and no one dares disagree.
As a concerned citizen, I put out a challenge to Freddie. Over the period of one week, I dare him to produce daily articles outlining how he proposes to address the multitude of ‘problems’ he highlights everyday. Choose one per day, and outline how you propose to solve it.
I doubt these articles will be forthcoming, for it is easy to sit at one’s computer and pen hatred, division and destruction, but extremely difficult to constructively criticise and provide alternative solutions.
