Mawlid-un-Nabi–in Light of Quran & Hadith

The Muslim Youth League of Guyana, the Guyana United Sad’r Islamic Anjuman and the Anna Catherina Islamic Complex will be hosting the first in a series of video lectures featuring His Eminence, Shaikh Ul Islam, Professor Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul Qadri at the Anna Catherina Islamic Complex on Saturday March 27 from 18.00 hrs – 20.00hrs or after Maghrib Prayers.
The topic of the first lecture, which will be shown on a ‘large Screen’, is titled “Mawlid-un-Nabi – In Light of Quran and Sunnah”.
A man of manifold and staggering achievements, Shaikh-ul-Islam Professor Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri is the founding leader of Minhaj-ul-Qur’an International (MQI), an organisation with branches and centres in more than 90 countries around the globe, working for the promotion of peace and harmony between communities and the revival of spiritual endeavour based on the traditional and true teachings of Islam.
Shaykh-ul-Islam was born in Pakistan and his formal education was initiated in Madinah, Saudi Arabia at the age of 12. He practised as a lawyer and later joined the University of Punjab as a lecturer in Islamic Law and completed his doctorate in Islamic Law. He was also a member of the Syndicate, Senate and Academic Council of the University of the Punjab.
However, within a short span of time, he emerged as Pakistan’s leading Islamic Jurist, scholar and revivalist of the Islamic ideology. He was appointed as a Jurist Consult (legal adviser) on Islamic law for the Supreme Court and the Federal Sharia Court of Pakistan and also worked as a specialist adviser on Islamic curricula for the Federal Ministry of Education of Pakistan.
Shaykh-ul-Islam is a theologian and a theosophist, a scientist and a spiritualist, a revivalist and a reformer, a philosopher and a political thinker.
He is probably the foremost jurist and expert of Islamic legal affairs in the Islamic world, and arguably one of the world’s most accomplished Islamic scholars, and globally renowned authorities.
One of his most remarkable achievements is to have initiated what has become one of the largest non-governmental educational projects in the world, through the Minhaj Educational Society (MES).
