The son of local Member of Parliament and prominent lawyer, Basil Williams, recently excelled at a Canadian University making not only his father proud but all who know him.
In June, Kevin Jerome Basil Williams, graduated from the Carleton University with Highest Honours in Law and Political Science and Minor in Spanish.
In addition Kevin, the 23-year-old gained admittance into the prestigious Norman Paterson School of International Affairs at Carleton in Ottawa to pursue a Master’s Degree in International Affairs later this year.
This young man plans to further his studies in the area of law, international relations and diplomacy.
His early years of schooling began in Guyana at the Alpha Bee’s Play Group but he soon migrated to St. Lucia with his mother, Lorraine Williams, who is currently Assistant Director General of the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations in Rome.
His outstanding academic performance was illustrated in his years at St Mary’s College, an all boy’s school in St. Lucia.
He eventually graduated from that College as student of 2004, most outstanding student and valedictorian, copping prizes in English Language, French, Biology, Principles of Business and History.
Soon after Kevin, moved to Ottawa, Canada where he is currently living and studying.
