Pirates made of with a fishing vessel, at around 20:00 hrs on Sunday, after holding the crew at gunpoint and dumping them overboard in the Atlantic Ocean near Rosignol, Berbice.
A release said that Saheed Yasin and three crew members were fishing when the bandits came up in a boat and held them at gunpoint.
The armed men removed the boat and engine, seine and foodstuff from the fishermen’s vessel and placed the fishermen into the boat the pirates used.
The victims drifted and only decided to swim when they were close to the shore.
